WELCOME to a journey in Spain

Imagine waking up in a simple but nice room in a small hilltop village with sounds through the open window telling you the villagers are already gathered for their morning tapa and coffee. Imagine further that you join them, order a cup of fresh espresso with steamed milk, the café con leche, and chat for a little while before mounting your motorcycle. The villagers shouts "Hasta la vista!" and you drive into the daylight.....

The bike takes you through the most amazing scenery, from white sand and blue water, through green and lush hillsides dotted with white washed villages, to dry deserts framed by snow covered mountains.

That's driving a motorcycle in Andalusía.

We are a Norwegian couple who traveled 15000 km in southern Spain over four months in 1998 and 1999 on Rocinante, a Triumph Tiger dual sport motorcycle. The camera was always with us and as we traveled we wrote down our experiences. More than 80 photos were scanned for this page.
