Rocinantes Travels - Who are we

Who are we

Bente Bråthen: Born 1968 in Porsgrunn, Norway where she grew up. Not an early riser, and it takes at least two cups of coffee and smooth talking to wake her up. Always optimistic and restless. Went to Spain and Greece to work as a tourist guide for two years. Back home she's been working for her father in a small business and for Manpower, doing project secretary work for numerous companies. She chose to do this kind of temporary work, because of her husband's working schedule, and he is
Dag Jenssen: Born 1964 in Vinje, Norway, and grew up in Porsgrunn as well. An early riser, an expert pessimist, with a high level of restlessness as part of his hidden interior. He has photography as a small hobby, while he has driven a motorcycle since 1990. Motorcycle travel was first considered in Spain, after buying the Triumph Tiger down there. Worked as an engineer for seven years in the offshore seismic industry, traveled on a sailing ship and with a backpack to South America and Africa, then met Bente and went to
Australia, Mexico and Greece together before taking a longer leave from work to stay and travel in Spain in 1998. With our adjustable work schedules, we've been privileged when it comes to traveling.

Among our friends and family we are known as the couple that changes travel plans every day. We dream and fantasize about new places to visit, places to settle down for a while, and job opportunities that will take us to remote and exotic places. Most of it are dreams, but lately we have surprised our selves by converting some of them to reality.

Traveling is definitely in our blood.

Still home in Stathelle, Norway
